NOGALES, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - The criminals are downright creative. They’ve hidden packets of pot in a pickup full of piñatas and disguised bundles of marijuana as melons in a semi. They’re drug smugglers, trying to sneak their stash into the country from Mexico through Arizona’s border crossings.

How can we stop such clever criminals and their contraband?

To find out, Customs and Border Protection and Border Patrol granted 9 On Your Side behind-the scenes access at the port in Nogales and the interstate checkpoint near Tubac.

See the technology, people and K-9s working to keep drugs off our streets tonight at 10:00.
