TPD seeks public's help to identify, locate robbery suspect

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - TPD is seeking the public's assistance in located a robbery suspect in the Tucson area.
On Jan. 9, 2013 at 2:43 p.m., officers from Operations Division West responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Circle K located at 4160 North 1st Avenue.
In a news release, Sgt. Chris Widmer said that upon arrival, officers determined that the suspect had fled prior to their arrival and that no one was injured during the incident. A search was initiated in the immediate area but the suspect was not located.
Detectives from the Robbery Unit responded to continue the investigation. They determined that the suspect approached the front counter with his hands in his sweatshirt pockets. The suspect implied he had a weapon and demanded the cash from the register. He was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 18 to 23 years of age, 5'07" tall, 140 to 160 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, plaid shorts and a yellow brimmed baseball hat.
Surveillance photographs are included below. Anyone with information on the identity or location of this suspect is urged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
