Highway hit-and-run leaves man with injuries

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A man is in the hospital after he was struck by a vehicle on I-19 Saturday afternoon.
A pedestrian was struck in a hit-and-run collision near northbound I-19 and Valencia Road at around 3:15 p.m. Saturday, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
DPS tells KGUN9 that a vehicle described as a green Ford Expedition struck a man and left the scene shortly after.
The pedestrian suffered injuries as a result of the collision, but the extent of the injuries are unknown at this time, according to DPS.
Tracy Koslowski of the Drexel Heights Fire District tells KGUN9 that emergency medical technicians with her district transported the man to the hospital.
At this time, there are no traffic interruptions as a result of the accident, according to DPS.
