TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A vending company worker discovered a pup in a garbage can at Reid Park.

Samantha Esquivel with The Humane Society of Southern Arizona tells KGUN9 that Oscar, an 8-week-old pit bull-mix, was tossed in a trash can at the park.

A local vending company worker who decided to take a late lunch at the park found Oscar and delivered him to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.

Veterinarians at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona say that Oscar will make a full recovery and lead a normal life.
