MARANA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Two children who went missing have been found.

Law enforcement officials confirmed to KGUN 9 that 1-year-old Estella Lovemore and 2-year-old Caroline Oddo were located at a residence in Hermosillo, Mexico after being tracked there by Mexican law enforcement.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Daniel Leyva tells KGUN9 that 26-year-old Luis Fernando Palacio fled to Sonora, Mexico with his 2-year old daughter, Carolina Oddo, after being ordered to return the child to the mother.

In January, 22-year-old Danielle Nicole Lovemore allegedly kidnapped her 1-year old daughter, who was in CPS custody. Estella Lovemore's grandparents were supervising a visit with Danielle Lovemore at Gymnastics World in late January at that time.

A Marana Police Department investigation into this incident led police to issue an arrest warrant for custodial interference for Danielle Lovemore.

Leyva said that officials had reason to believe Lovemore fled to Mexico in an attempt to reunite with Palacios. At that time, assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service was requested.

U.S. Marshals Service Investigators worked diligently with Mexican law enforcement to locate Lovemore to recover the missing children.

The U.S. State Department's American Citizens Services are currently caring for the children pending their safe return to the United States. On Thursday night, Danielle Lovemore was deported to the U.S. through the Nogales Port of Entry, where Deputy U.S. Marshals took custody of her and transported her to the Pima County Jail.

The families of both little girls held numerous events to get the word out.
