TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Family and friends gathered in Marana to remember a "New York Cowgirl" as they search for meaning in her death.
16-year-old Julia Ann Good died last week after her car rolled over at Artesiano Road and Ina Road. Friends of the high school junior wore pink shirts at her memorial service Sunday afternoon.
Good's mother calls her her daughter a "New York Cowgirl" because after moving here a decade ago, Good embraced country music and cowboy boots.
Family and friends gathered at the memorial to celebrate the teen's life and reflected on the night it ended.
The family set up a foundation to help children who've lost a loved one. Good lost her father when she was seven. To donate, the family asks you visit any Wells Fargo branch and give to the Julia Good Memorial Fund.
