At least 50 hikers trapped by flood, rescue underway

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Deputies are conducting a rescue effort for multiple groups of people who are stuck in Bear Canyon due to flood waters.
Deputy Tom Peine with the Pima County Sheriff's Department tells KGUN9 that upwards of 50 people are trapped by flood waters in Bear Canyon.
Deputies, DPS helicopters and Search and Rescue volunteers are responding to the Bear Canyon trailhead to assist with the rescue.
Sun Tran is also responding to assist in the rescue effort.
