Oro Valley hires new Parks and Recreation Director

ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Oro Valley has hired their next Parks and Recreation Director Kristy Diaz-Trahan.
Diaz-Trahan previously spent five years in the Town of Marana and currently works as a division manager in the City of Albuquerque.
Oro Valley's current director, Ainsley Legner, is retiring after 13 years.
According to Misti Nowak with the Town of Oro Valley the announcement of the Legner's retirement, the Town of Oro Valley parks and recreation announced hiring for a new director.
"I am excited that Kristy will be joining our team," commented Town Manager Greg Caton. "We conducted a nationwide recruitment, including an extensive selection process, and Kristy clearly rose to the top. She will be a great asset to our Parks and Recreation Department and to the Town's leadership staff."
Diaz-Trahan will begin work on February 4, 2013
