TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - We remember, we believe, we heal, those are the words behind the prayer service remembering January 8, 2011.

On Sunday, more than a hundred people from the community took part in the prayer at St. Augustine Cathedral.

"We know that the lives that were lost, Christina Taylor Green, Judge John Roll, Dorwan Stoddard, Gabe Zimmerman, Dote Morris, Phyllis, can never be restored. they sure are lost worlds, we mourn their loss and our loss," said Rabbi Samuel Cohon, with the Temple Emanu-El.

Several congregation members from different churches were also present to honor those involved in the tragedy, including one of the survivors, Pam Simon.

"Think it's really important for the community to have a place to come together and remember what happened almost two years ago, and gathering lots of faiths together is chance to pray and remember," she said.

Congressman Ron Barber also attended with his wife, and shared a few words.

"This shock wave went deep into our community not just for those of us who were there that day, and its time for us to heal and to continue our healing together as community," he said.

For most, it was a simple prayer to let six people known, they're not forgotten.
