FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - The Arizona Snowbowl is opening for the season after a trio of wintry storms dropped about three feet of snow on the peak just north of Flagstaff.
The resort's opening Thursday at 9 a.m. includes all lifts and trails. Regular adult tickets are $55 and children ages 8 through 12 are $35 for an all-day pass.
The ski area is opening two conveyor belts designed to bring skiers to the chair lifts and shorten lift lines this year. The resort also made improvements to ski runs and added to its fleet of Snowcats to groom the snow.
The resort's regular ski hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
