FORT HUACHUCA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - There's precious cargo on board a jet landing at Fort Huachuca.

Looking through the windows are not only America's war heroes, they're husbands, wives, moms and dads.

And all of their families and friends are inside waiting for them. The red carpet is readied. The flags stand at attention.

And one by one, the soldiers of the 11th Theater Tactical Signal Brigade de-plane at Libby Army Airfield.

The 60 men and women just finished an 11-month deployment in Afghanistan.

Their families found out only a month ago that they would be home in time for the holidays.

One of the families waiting, The Fabors.

"[I'm] very excited," says Kim Fabor, whose husband Jeff returned home. "Glad we don't have to spend another Christmas apart."

A prayer, a salute and finally, the homecoming they've waited so long to see.

"This is my fifth time coming back," says Jeff Fabor, "But it's great just the same."

Merry Christmas and happy holidays, soldiers. Welcome home.
