TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) – The Pima County Recorder’s Office expects to turn over the remaining provisional ballots Friday night.
According to Rhonda Bodfield with Pima County, all of the nearly 260,000 early ballots have been verified and counted by the Recorder’s Office and progress continues for the remaining provisional ballot count.
Nearly 11,500 provisional ballots have been counted of the 27,000 issued on Election Day. The office will process the last of the ballots on Saturday, and expects the count to continue Sunday, according to Pima County Elections Director Brad Nelson.
Some ballots may be disqualified if a voter was not registered to vote or had cast an early ballot before voting at a polling location.
Pima County must certify the final count by Monday, Nov. 26.
