TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Arizona State University will prohibit all tobacco use on its campuses beginning on Aug. 2.

The university currently prohibits smoking in its buildings, but allows it outside on its grounds.

The change will mean no tobacco use will be allowed anywhere on campus.

The university says the move is aimed at promoting better health.

Students, staff and teachers who violate the rules could face sanctions from the university.
