PHOENIX (AP) - Sentencing for the former head of the Fiesta Bowl has again been delayed as he continues to cooperate in a state criminal investigation.
Former bowl Chief Executive Officer John Junker pleaded guilty to state and federal charges early this year. He admitted being involved in an illegal campaign-contribution scheme and agreed to cooperate with prosecutors in the case.
His sentencing has been repeatedly postponed and The Arizona Republic reports Junker's attorney has obtained another delay in federal and state court.
Lawyer Stephen Dichter says Junker's federal sentencing is now set Feb.25 and his state sentencing is April 24.
