PHOENIX (AP) - The counting of ballots continues in Arizona.

Secretary of State Ken Bennett says that as of Tuesday afternoon, there are more than 324,000 early and provisional ballots statewide that still need to be processed and counted.

Bennett's office says those voters who cast conditional provisional ballots at polling places have until the end of Wednesday to return to their county election office to show proper identification.

The state canvass to certify the election results is scheduled for Dec. 3.

In Maricopa County, election officials reported tabulating more than 47,300 early ballots on Tuesday. Another 46,000 still need to be processed.

Election officials in Pima County finished counting 5,515 early ballots Tuesday. Of the 261,363 early ballots verified in the county, officials say roughly 1,550 still need to be counted.
