GILBERT, Ariz. (AP) - Gilbert police say a woman critically injured her husband by running over him with an SUV during an argument over the presidential election.
Police say Saturday's dispute started over her husband's lack of participation in the race.
The husband told investigators that 27-year-old Holly Solomon believed her family was going to face hardship from President Barack Obama's re-election.
Police say Solomon chased her husband through a parking lot with an SUV, circled him as he took refuge behind a light pole and eventually struck him as he tried to flee.
The husband was pinned beneath the SUV's underside and a curb.
There were no signs Solomon was impaired.
She was booked on an aggravated assault count.
It's not clear whether Solomon has a lawyer.
She had no listed phone number.
