TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - For the second time in one day, a house fire erupted in midtown.
The blaze broke out around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday night in the 100 block of East Mac Iver Place, near Grant and Stone.
In a news release, Barrett Baker with the Tucson Fire Department said the fire was under control after 20 minutes of firefighting operations. The origin and cause of the fire are under investigation.
A man and a woman who lived at the house are now staying with friends, and the Red Cross is helping them with food and clothing.
Earlier that day, a woman lost everything when flames erupted outside her residence. Her belongings were outside because she was moving.
