TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - It's a story you have to see to believe and now, the proof is public.

On Wednesday, the Tucson Police Department released surveillance video detailing the brutal beat down involving several off-duty Pima County Corrections Officer's outside Tucson's Buffet bar.

KGUN 9 filed a request with TPD to get the video. In the video, you can see the officers messing around outside the bar. Seconds later, one officer steps away from the group and punches a bystander completely unprovoked.

The bystander then goes into the bar and quickly comes out. From there, the fight escalates with a mob moving from the street to the sidewalk.

Minutes later, cars are seen taking off from both directions. Meanwhile, people then run into the street and check on a man lying face down on the asphalt.

Seventeen off-duty Pima County Corrections Officers are involved in the investigation. To date, seven have been fired for their involvement in the early morning altercation.

Nine On Your Side spoke with Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik who said more reprimands are coming.
