TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Fire responded to a home Wednesday night after a 2-year-old almost drowned.
Capt. Barrett Baker with TFD tells KGUN9 that it happened near Speedway Boulevard and Harrison Road.
The child was found at the bottom of the pool, and someone performed CPR before crews arrived.
The child was taken to a nearby hospital. No word yet on the status of the 2-year-old.
Baker says there was a fence around the pool and TFD is investigating how the child got into the pool area.
Tucson Fire would like to remind parents that active adult supervision, barriers around pools, swim lessons for kids and knowing CPR as a caregiver can all make a huge difference in saving a child's life.
