PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police have identified the 18-year-old man who is facing charges in connection with a shooting at a city park last week that claimed the life of another teenager.

Vincent Quimayousie is facing a murder charge in the death of 16-year-old Andrew Murphy. He also faces at least two counts of armed robbery and one count of aggravated assault.

The charges stem from a shooting last Thursday at Marivue Park. Detectives say Murphy was shot in the chest as he protected his younger sister during a robbery.

Officer James Holmes says detectives believe Quimayousie may have had contact with others before the shooting in the park. They're asking anyone who may have had contact with him to call police.
