Grand Canyon offering free entry for National Public Lands Day

GRAND CANYON, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Grand Canyon National Park will offer free entry into the park to celebrate National Public Lands Day, according to Park Spokeswoman Shannan Marcak.
Marcak tells KGUN9 that visitors who arrive at the park on Saturday, September 29 will be allowed to enter the park for free.
Those who plan to spend time past that day will need to pay the regular entrance fee for the remainder of their stay.
The free-fee applies only to entrance fees and does not apply to camping, reservations, tours or concessions.
National Public Lands Day began in 1994 and is intended to encouraged shared stewardship of our nation's public lands.
