SAN LUIS, Ariz. (AP) - A Somerton man is in custody for allegedly attempting to smuggle nearly 245 pounds of marijuana into Arizona through the San Luis Port of Entry.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers referred 42-year-old Daniel Munoz Paz for a secondary inspection of his pickup truck Sunday.

With the aid of a narcotics detection dog, officers say they discovered 110 marijuana packages hidden inside an auxiliary fuel tank in the bed of the truck.

CBP officials say the marijuana has an estimated value of $122,000. The drugs and vehicle were processed for seizure and Paz was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
