TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The University of Arizona Wildcats kick off their much anticipated 2012 season tomorrow and thousands of students and fans will flock to Arizona stadium for the football game against Toledo.

With construction in and around campus, that's when the traffic nightmare could begin.

The U of A is juggling construction on Arizona stadium not to mention the Modern Streetcar construction tearing up streets.

Fans will have to be alert and aware of changes in getting to the game. A lot of things have moved.

"Fan Fiesta" is now on the west side of the mall, and several stadium gates are now closed due to construction in the end zone.

Also, Sun Tran now offers only one shuttle from Hi Corbett field to the U of A.

You can expect delays and small backups as you make your way onto campus. As for parking, it's the same but how you get to those garages will be slightly different.

And a bit of good news today. The stretch of 2nd Street at Cherry Avenue will be open Friday night. And will stay open for the rest of the season.

It should help tailgaters get to the mall that much easier.
