FLORENCE, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Deputies are investigating a possible phone scam targeting residents in Pinal County, according to Elias Johnson, a public information officer with the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
Johnson tells KGUN9 that a woman in Casa Grande received a phone call from a man saying he was a deputy with PCSO and that she had failed to report for jury duty and now had to pay a fine.
The woman told that man that she never received a summons for jury duty. When the woman's husband got on the phone and asked for the man's name and badge number, the caller hung up.
The couple called PCSO and deputies traced the number to a fax number in Jamaica.
