TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Deputies identified the 19-year-old man who drowned on Mt. Lemmon as Jacob Barlow from Utah, according to officials with the Pima County Sheriff's Department.
Barlow died at Rose Canyon Lake on Mt. Lemmon.
Deputy Tom Peine with the Pima County Sheriff's Department tells KGUN9 that Barlow is suspected to have drowned around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The man was in the Rose Canyon Lake area with five friends, who say that the victim called to them saying he needed help and then he went under and never came back up.
Divers began searching for the man at daybreak as it was too dark and the water was too murky last evening.
