Severe thunderstorms hitting parts of Cochise County

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Multiple storms could touch down in parts of Cochise County.

The National Weather Service in Tucson has just issued severe thunderstorm warnings for north-central and west-central Cochise County. 

The storm system in north-central Cochise County is just east of Wilcox, moving west at around 10 mph.

The storm in west-central Cochise County is east of Benson and southwest of Willcox, and is also moving west at 10 mph. 

The advisory for north-central Cochise County will remain in effect until 6:00 p.m. Sunday. 

The advisory for west-central Cochise County will continue until 6:30 p.m. Sunday. 

Motorists and residents of these areas should seek shelter indoors as both storm systems are capable of producing winds over 60 mph, along with frequent lightning and heavy rain.
