Police searching for serial bank robber

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police are asking for the help of the public in identifying and locating a serial bank robbery suspect.
Sgt. Chris Widmer tells KGUN9 on August 7, officers responded to the Wells Fargo Bank located inside the Safeway at 8740 East Broadway after an employee called 911 to report that a robbery had just occurred.
Detectives learned the suspect entered the bank and presented a note to the teller demanding money and threatening harm.
After interviewing witnesses and reviewing the security video from the bank, detectives believe the suspect involved is the same man suspected in four other Tucson area bank robberies.
The suspect is described as Hispanic, approximately 25-29 years of age, 5'07" tall, 190 pounds, medium build, wearing white collared shirt with a black shirt underneath, black jeans and a black fedora.
The suspect is believed to be the same suspect from previous robberies at the Compass Bank at 6363 East 22nd Street, the Compass Bank inside the Albertsons Grocery Store located at 6600 East Grant Road.and the U.S. Bank inside the Safeway at 1940 East Broadway.
Anyone with information about the possible identity of the suspect or his whereabouts is asked to contact 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
