TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A man had to be pulled out of his vehicle after it was trapped in a flowing wash.

Firefighters from the Avra Valley Fire District quickly responded to a swift water rescue call at the intersection of Cocio and White Eagle Road around 8:00 p.m. Saturday.

By the time the rescue team was on scene, the man's sedan was lodged in the wash and water was up to the windows.

Strong water current had pushed the vehicle 15 feet downstream, forcing firefighters to battle through the current.

The man had to be pulled out through the window, but he did not sustain any injuries.
