WIKIEUP, Ariz. (AP) - Four men have been arrested after authorities discovered more than 12,000 marijuana plants being grown on federal land in northwestern Arizona.
Bureau of Land Management officials said Monday that the plants were found near Wikieup in the Big Sandy River area.
BLM officials worked with Drug Enforcement Administration agents and other law enforcement agencies to eradicate and destroy the garden and its manufacturing infrastructure.
The four men arrested weren't immediately identified. BLM officials say the men are facing federal charges for illegally cultivating marijuana along with other violations.
