Police investigating east side shooting, victim identified
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Marquee Dixon Jr., 21, has been identified as the man killed in a shooting July 5.
Sgt. Chris Widmer with Tucson Police tells KGUN9 that they received a 9-1-1 call about shots fired in the 5100 block of East 2nd Street.
When officers arrived on scene, they found Dixon suffering from gunshot trauma. Paramedics tried to administer aid, but he died on scene.
Homicide Detectives responded and have determined that a verbal altercation occurred and multiple shots were fired.
A resident in the area found the victim down in a driveway with gunshot trauma and called 9-1-1, said Widmer.
