BENSON Ariz., (KGUN9-TV) - A wildfire caused by lightning burning near Benson has grown to more than 1,680 acres, according to Heidi Schewel with the Coronado National Forest.
The Cottonwood Fire is 40 percent contained as of Saturday and there are seven crews and three engines assigned to the blaze.
No evacuations have been scheduled and the fire is not threatening any structures at this time.
Crews continue to patrol the flames, but Schewel says growth potential is low for this fire.
Another fire burning east of Bonita, Ariz. and visible from the Willcox area has grown to approximately 4,800 acres, according to Schewel.
The Grapevine Fire, also lightning caused, is 10 percent contained and is burning near the Stockton Pass area.
Seven engines and seven hand crews are assigned to the blaze and the fire was active during the night.
Smoke is also expected to blow east from this fire, and those with a sensitivity to smoke should limit their time outdoors.
