TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police are looking for a suspect in a hit and run accident that left a City of Nogales firefighter with life threatening injuries Thursday afternoon, according to Chris Widmer with TPD.

Sterling Lytle was ran over in a parking lot in the 1600 block of N. Alvernon Way and is now in critical condition at University Medical Center.

Witnesses told detectives that Lytle was the passenger in a vehicle heading northbound on Alvernon Way.

Another car behind them began flashing its light and honking its horn, causing Lytle's vehicle to pull over.

When the suspect vehicle followed Lytle's car into a parking lot, the victim got out of his car to speak with the person in the suspect vehicle.

The suspect vehicle then ran over Lytle and fled the scene heading north.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado Super Sport Pickup, orange in color.

The driver is described as a Hispanic male.

Anyone with information on the location of this vehicle or the suspect is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
