Brewer appoints Tucson native to Superior Court

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A Tucson lawyer was appointed by Gov. Jan Brewer Friday to the Pima County Superior Court, according to officials with Brewer's office.
James Erik Marner will fill the vacancy created by John Leonardo, who was nominated to be the U.S. Attorney for the District of Arizona.
Marner has worked at the Shultz and Rollins law firm since 1997. Before that, he worked in the state of Washington.
He has argued in the Arizona Court of Appeals and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the ninth circuit.
Marner is also a decorated veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and had a tour of duty in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait during Operation Desert Storm.
