PIRTVILLE, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - A man and woman were assaulted and robbed in their home.
Carol Capas tells KGUN9 that on June 17, deputies were advised of a home invasion/assault which had occurred at a residence in the 400 block of East Crystal Avenue in Pirtleville.
When deputies arrived, they made contact with a man and woman who stated they had returned home in the afternoon. When they got out of their car in the driveway, they were approached by a male subject wearing a mask and reportedly armed with a handgun, says Capas.
According to the victims, the man forced them to go inside of the residence where he proceeded to tie up the victim and take the female victim to the back room and assaulted her. The woman advised she was then taken back to the living room and tied up next to the male victim, while the suspect ransacked the house.
The suspect was reportedly inside of the home for several hours before taking personal items and leaving with the victim’s 2002 silver Mercury Sable. The vehicle was entered into the National Crime Information Center database as stolen and it was recovered in an alleyway in Douglas in the early morning hours today.
Anyone with information related to the investigation is asked to contact the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office at (520) 432-9500.
