Alarm ordinance enforcement begins today

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Starting today, the Tucson Police Department will start enforcing the new False Alarm Ordinance. Alarm users who have not registered their alarms with the Tucson Police Department will be billed a higher false alarm assessment as of today. There is an annual $20 registration fee, which will remain valid for 365 days, from the date of payment. The $20 is a cost recovery measure for the police department.
Alarm customers may register their alarms online at www.tucsonaz.gov/police and click on “Alarm Information.” Currently, online payment options are not available, but payments may be made in person at the following locations:
Westside Police Service Center at 1310 West Miracle Mile (520) 791- 4440 -- Impound Lobby (for payments)
