Pima Animal Care to provide monthly rabies vaccination clinics

CREATED May 3, 2012

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Pima Animal Care Center will provide monthly rabies vaccination clinics the second Tuesday of each month through December 11th, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. beginning Tuesday, May 8th.

The vaccination will cost $15 per animal. There is no charge for the vaccination if the owner buys a dog license at the same time. Dogs must be at least 12 weeks old to receive a rabies vaccination.

No other type of annual vaccination is being offered during the rabies vaccination clinics.

The fee for a dog license varies, depending on whether the animal has been altered or if the
owner is a senior citizen, disabled or qualifies as low income. In some instances, a late fee may
be assessed.

For complete details visit the Pima Animal Care Center website at pima.gov/animalcare to determine eligibility for discounted licensing fees and to ensure that you bring any paperwork that will be required when you visit the clinic.

Clinic customers will be taken on a “first come first served” basis. You must arrive before 11 a.m. to be served.
