KINGMAN, Ariz.(AP) - A Kingman woman has been arrested on suspicion of attacking her wheelchair-bound mother.
Sheriff's deputies arrested 48-year-old Melinda Geraldine Lemos on Friday on suspicion of assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Lemos' 67-year-old mother told deputies that her daughter became upset with her after she kicked her boyfriend out.
The woman told deputies that Lemos ripped the phone out of the wall, knocked her out of her wheelchair and onto the floor, and then kicked her.
She says that she managed to get back in the wheelchair, make her way across the street to a neighbor's house and call for help.
Deputies arrested Lemos and booked her into the Mohave County jail.
It's unclear whether she has an attorney.
