ST. JOHNS, Ariz. (AP) - Prosecutors in Apache County have refiled a petition to revoke probation for an eastern Arizona boy who fatally shot his father's friend.

The petition filed Tuesday expands on the allegations of a probation officer, who said the 12-year-old boy has issued death threats and damaged property at a residential treatment center. Prosecutors outlined 25 alleged violations in their petition, including assault.

The boy was 8 when he was charged in a double homicide in St. Johns.

He eventually pleaded guilty to negligent homicide in the death of his father's friend. Prosecutors then dropped a murder charge against the boy in his father's death.

The boy's attorney says he believes treatment still is the best option for his client.

Prosecutors say incarceration could be among their recommendations to a judge.
