PHOENIX (AP) - At least two Democrats say they're still running to replace Rep. Gabrielle Giffords in Congress despite the candidacy of her former aide.

State Sen. Paula Aboud and state Rep. Matt Heinz say they're continuing their campaigns after Ron Barber announced Monday that he's running for Arizona's 2nd Congressional District in November.

State Rep. Steve Farley has dropped out to support Barber.

Giffords has endorsed Barber's dual bids for a June special election to finish her term in the current 8th District and for a full term in the renumbered 2nd District.

A fourth candidate, former University of Arizona student Nomiki Konst, has not returned calls.

Giffords resigned from Congress earlier this year to focus on her recovery after she was shot and wounded along with Barber in January 2011.
