LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. (AP) - One wave down and one to go as Lake Havasu City police brace for another round of spring break visitors this week along the Colorado River and Lake Havasu.
Police tell the Today's News-Herald that crowds have been bigger along the mainland side of Bridgewater Channel.
Police spokesman Officer Jonathan Azar says there have been some minors caught drinking and a few operating jet skis while having a little too much to drink.
Azar says he estimated about 8,000 spring break visitors packed the Channel on Saturday until a wind and rainstorm drove them out.
