Pinal high school reopens after vandalism

MARICOPA, Ariz. (AP) - Students are back in class Wednesday at Maricopa High School in Pinal County south of Phoenix after vandals forced the school to close.
Maricopa police had additional officers on the high school campus Wednesday morning. There were no reports of any arrests, but police were looking at security video. Authorities also were following up on leads.
School maintenance workers arrived early Tuesday and found school walls spray painted with racial slurs and property and windows smashed.
Principal June Celaya tells The Arizona Republic ( students and the community helped with the cleanup.
School officials plan a meeting Wednesday night at district offices to discuss the vandalism.
