Luke Bryan: 2013 ACM Entertainer win was 'bright spot' after family tragedies
Luke Bryan's series of videos campaigning for ACM Entertainer of the Year have up to now spotlighted the singer-songwriter's sense of humor. But this latest clip takes an entirely different approach, as Luke -- and his parents -- talk about the tragic loss of his brother Chris, and sister Kelly, who both died unexpectedly before being able to witness the success their younger brother has experienced in country music.
Recalling last year's ACM Entertainer of the Year win in the clip, Luke says, "Chris and Kelly are smiling down on us and finally we could all celebrate and cry tears of joy. It was so amazing to finally have such a bright spot."
In spite of the emotional approach of this particular video, Luke's others to encourage fans to vote for his as Entertainer of the Year deliver some laughs. See him crash a wedding, a baby shower, and a kids' birthday party. And see him co-host the ACM Awards with Blake Shelton this Sunday, April 6, live from Las Vegas, at 8:00 PM ET on CBS.
