Hunter Hayes took to the ACM Awards stage Sunday night for a performance of "Invisible," but earlier that weekend, he met up with ET's Nancy O'Dell on a much different stage -- a racetrack. The country hitmaker challenged the TV host (and self-professed "Granny driver"), who got behind the wheel of a $200,000 Mercedes SLS. (Watch the video below.)
Hunter will be feeling the need for speed as he attempts next month to get his name in the Guinness Book of World Records. On May 9, the thrill-seeking musician will kick off his 24-Hour Road Race to End Child Hunger, playing 10 shows in 10 cities in 24 hours.
Hunter's "Storyline" album is out May 6. His We're Not Invisible tour kicks off Thursday (April 10) in Southaven, Miss., with Danielle Bradbery and Dan + Shay.
