Leandra Becerra Lumbreras, the Mexican woman believed to be the oldest living person, celebrated yet another birthday.
Lumbreras says she was born on Aug. 31, 1887, marking Sunday as her 127th birthday. She celebrated the occasion with her grandson's family in Zapopan, western Mexico.
reports that Lumbreras apparently lost her original birth certificate. Her grandson, Samuel Alvear, said he was told that it was burned during the Mexican revolution of 1910 to 1917.
After an investigation of the 20th century electoral documents, Lumbreras was issued a new certificate in 2009, confirming her reported date of birth, according to the Telegraph.
