Los Angeles Philharmonic plays through 5.1 earthquake

By Julianne Cassidy. CREATED Apr 7, 2014

The Los Angeles Philharmonic was six minutes into its performance of Ravel's "Daphnis and Chloe" when a 5.1 magnitude earthquake hit Southern California on March 28.

Listen above as guest conductor Maestro Charles Dutoit continues to play despite the stage floor of the Walt Disney Concert Hall shaking for over a minute as lights swayed and some audience members ran for the exits.

The show must go on, right?
