Notre Dame coach goes to practice on horseback

The head coach of the most famous college football program in the world decided to ride to preseason practice on Friday in a way reminiscent of the team's famous history.

Even if it looked more than a little weird.

As Notre Dame publicist Leigh Torbin tweeted on Friday:

Perhaps Coach Brian Kelly was trying to channel the 1924 Notre Dame team with a famous backfield named the "Four Horsemen."

Time will tell if Kelly's move was meant to revisit championship history (their last was in 1988) or just do something really silly.
