Two men have critical injuries after a shooting in an east Wichita neighborhood. The shooting was reported around 2:20 this afternoon in the 2600 block of East Douglas.
The two victims were taken to a hospital in critical condition, and one of them had a gunshot wound to the head. Police captain Hassan Ramzah said it appeared to be a domestic dispute, where the ex-boyfriend of a woman shot the current boyfriend, and then shot himself. The ex-boyfriend was taken to a hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head. The current boyfriend, in his 40's, was taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds to his legs. The girlfriend was not believed to be at the business at the time of the shooting.
Ramzah said the gunman had a shotgun, and he went into The Flying Pig Boutique at Douglas and Green and confronted a man there. The man was shot but was able to get out of the business, and witnesses then heard a shot from the gunman, when he turned the shotgun on himself.
Police were blocking traffic on westbound Douglas at Green during the investigation.
