Two arrested in east Wichita shooting
Wichita police detectives identified three suspects shortly after a 53-year-old man was found shot multiple times in the backyard of a home nine days ago. Two of those suspects were arrested Monday evening.
The shooting happened at 1:03 a.m. Oct. 12 in the 200 block of S. Holyoke. Police tracked down the two suspects at a home in the 800 block of S. Mission.
Lt. Doug Nolte says the men officers arrested are 18- and 29-years-old. They are related, but it wasn't clear if they are brothers. Officers are still looking for a female suspect in the case.
The arrestees were booked into jail on suspicion of attempted first degree murder.
Nolte did not have an update on the victim's condition.
