Police looking for woman who fell from SUV in northeast Wichita
Police are looking for a woman who fell from a moving vehicle in northeast Wichita early Monday morning. A witness reported the incident around 7:40 a.m. on K-96 at the Greenwich Road overpass.
According to the Wichita Police Department's Facebook page, a witness reported seeing a woman fall from the passenger side of a bronze, copper or brown Ford SUV, possibly an Edge or an Explorer. The woman landed on the shoulder of the road, and she was injured and crying, then the driver forced her back into the vehicle, which continued to the west on K-96, leaving at the Webb Road exit.
Police say no victims have been reported at area hospitals, and no other calls were received by 911. The witness reported that other motorists saw the incident and even stopped to help.
