Wind Speeds Hit Almost 60 MPH in Kansas
It was a very windy day all throughout Kansas Sunday
The top wind speed recorded was 57 miles per hour - that was at Westfall just after 3:30 Sunday afternoon.
Next was 56 miles per hour at the Russell Municipal Airport just after 2 p.m..
The top wind speed for Wichita Sunday was a gusty 47 miles per hour - that happened just after 1:30 Sunday afternoon.
Hutchinson reported wind gusts up to 52, Salina at 49, and 41 at Newton.
Wind speeds will remain at 15-25 miles per hour for Wichita Sunday night, and going down to 10-15 for Monday. Showers are expected to move in late Monday evening.
